High levels of HDL or High Density Lipo-Proteins are good for heart health. Conversely, high levels of LDL or Low Density Lipo-Proteins are bad for the heart.
5. Treatment For Depression – Other studies on turmeric also show it has positive effects on treating depression.
Although more studies are needed to confirm this, doctors and scientists point out that 2 tablespoons of turmeric has the same effect on treating depression as Fluoxetine.
Fluoxetine is the main ingredient in popular anti-depressant medications.
You can buy turmeric in capsule form because taking it as powder could be a bitter experience.
